The Power of the Water: Task Force Hydro1 Transforming the Lives of Veterans and First Responders

VyStar Foundation’s first grant cycle focused on organizations that support service members, veterans and their families. Task Force Hydro1 is a nonprofit organization in Northeast Florida that does that through the mental and physical benefits of surfing and outrigger paddling. The group gets together on a regular basis to build camaraderie on the water, working as a support system for members.

Task Force Hydro1 also comes together for special events, like in August, when members of the group held a 40-mile paddle from Vilano Beach to Mayport. Watch the video above to learn more about Task Force Hydro1 and the day they paddled together in the Atlantic Ocean.
